In my 04, 4x4. I have a clicking coming from the front left wheel as soon as I start turning to the right.
I had this same type of clicking last month and it was a bad axle joint. I put the truck up on the lift and spun the tire and could see the joint popping as I spun the wheel. So I put a new axle u-joint in. Now a month later and I'm clicking again. I put the truck on the lift a couple times. I can't see any play or popping in the new joint, the grease fitting is not hitting the axle. I checked the hub bolts, wheel lugs, caliper slide pins and caliper bracket bolts. All are tight. I spin the wheel by hand and hear nothing and feel no binding or anything. The hub bearing has no play and it's also less than a year old. The ball joints are also tight. I'm also driving without the center cap on.This clicking is as the wheel goes around but only as a start to turn to the right.
Any suggestions. My next task is to double check the axle nut, then I'm thinking of swapping wheels left to right and see if the noise moves...I'm a bit stumped on this one at the moment.
