It sounds like your track bar has headed south on you. Dodge track bars are notorious for wearing out at the ball that connects to the frame. You can check this when it's on the ground by someone jerking the steering wheel left and right and see if you have any movement in that joint. Movement in the joint will let the frame drift laterally to the axle. Dont' purchase DCs factory track bar. Purchase the one from Moog. At about 1/3 of the cost and alifetime warranty. Car Quest generally carries them.

My '01 got a new front end at 30k, the trackbar was about to fall off. Now it handles nice but still finds the grooves in the road. If you are under 36k miles take it back and complain of "steering wander" that will tell them what to look for. After they replaced the front end I drilled and installed zerk fittings.

I lived in Prescott for several years and still have friends there. Ever eat at El Charro on Montezuma Street? About the only bad memories I have of there is the jerks at J&G Guns.

Someone in another thread earlier on the same subject suggested running 60 psi in the front tires. . It makes sense to run a higher than you would think pressure due to the weight of the mighty Dodge Cummins so that the sidewalls would not flex as easily. So tonite, I tried it and it definatly helped;)

My truck has 33,000 on it and 2,000 miles ago the trackbar, pitman arm, steering box and intermediate shaft were all replaced. I think this 60 psi thing helped more than anything.

Thanks to whoever brought that info to the forum:)
