Need some help with this one, guys... I have 2 sets of lights to mount up front: aux. fogs and aux. nuclear blast #ad
I am searching for a light bar on which to mount these! I dont want all the brush guard stuff as I dont go off road, just something simple to firmly hold my lights so I can see where the heck Im going! Everything I've seen thusfar has been for 2 lights only, and rediculously priced. Even with hot-rod bulbs, the Dodge headlights are a joke. The brights arent as good as my stock VW on low! Any suggestions?

What kind of hot rod bulbs are you using? I've been looking at getting some and don't want to spend the money if they don't work.

Unless you have the "sport" headlights, our Rams use a *9004* style bulb. At the recommendation of the members on this BB, I bought some SuperWhites from WalMart for $16 or so. Yes, they are better... . they are also a joke! Perhaps its just American headlights, as I drive German cars exclusively. My VW Passat, with stock American-market bulbs has more than adequate lighting in low and high-beam. I guess it's the shape of the reflectors?

Smittybilt Outland now has a mini pushbar that's excellent for mounting lights. I'll look up the URL.

I recently miniaturized my brush quard to pushbar only and I like that too; but I'll be upgrading to the Smittybilt mini (I'll look it up and get back... ).

I'm baaack... It's called the Smittybilt Outland Sport, you can mount one set of lights 'over' and one set 'under'. http://www.smittybiltinc.com/products/frontguards/outsport.html wish they had these a few years ago... it's about time! Totally Awesome IMO.

Oh... and moving to "Products Accessories".

I'm irritated that nobody seems to make a simple Baja Pre-Runner style push bar to fit our trucks... there is one available to fit Dakotas, but not Rams. I'll just have to go to North Carolina and get the Laughlin Chassis boys to bend me one up. They make half the NASCAR cars, maybe they can make me a simple push bar if I ask nice.

The Outland Sport doesn't come in a Dodge RAM full size application?! Ugh! There goes that fantasy. I really like the looks...

What's up Smittybilt?!

According to my latest Summit catalog they do make it. They list it for the 96' to 99' Ram. Don't know why it wouldn't fit 94 & up? Anyway, they offer it in gloss black or stainless. The part numbers are SMT-163301-B for the black and SMT-163301-S for the stainless. Summit lists them for $169. 95 in black and $239. 95 for stainless. Hope this helps!

Thanks 'traded-10', I ran a lookup for a '00 GMC and they said they didn't have them for that truck either... well, that's the truck in the picture! Looks like their parts lookup isn't working.

Warn is making a light bar that is pretty cool and basic. It is only for ford and chevy right now but they are bringing out a full size dodge model in the spring. It is a simply hoop that comes up to just bellow the middle of the grille. I don't know were it will be anchored on the dodge but it is the best looking light bar I have seen on the super duty. It is not as cluttered as most of the bull bars and gives a cleaner look.

four lights on the ford.

I'm with Briar Hopper. A simple pre-runner style push-bar would be great. I don't want it to protect so much, just for looks. On the cover of last months Four Wheeler magazine there was a Dodge on the cover with one of these push-bars. It was custom if I remember correctly and 2 of the mounts were through the factory fog light holes.

Maybe will have to find someplace to bend a few up for a Cummins powered Ram.

I saw this on the smitty site:

I got 33% off thanks to Big Bob posting the magic number #ad
It was the "163301-S Outland Sport - Bumper Guard, Stainless 96-99 Dodge , 2WD / 4WD, Will also fit diesel, Will not fit newer bodystyle pickup" for $251. 90 minus 33%. The "newer bodystyle pickup" turns out to be the sport front end package from Dodge.
