About 8 months ago I noticed the front end on my 2000 3500 dually was sagging, to the point that my front tires was cupping. The truck was out of warranty, so I took it to a local suspension shop specializing in heavy duty trucks. They sold my a set of "cargo springs" and said these would solve the problem. They also said that alot of Dodge Cummins owners come in with the same problem. Although the springs are physically taller, heavier and thicker, they only temp. fixed the problem. After only about 3 months since the new springs was installed the front end is sagging again. Besides the cupping of the tires, the truck doesn't look as good with the front sitting so low. Has anyone else experience this problem and how did you fix it. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Did you go back to the shop that installed your springs to see what they had to say? You didnt mention 2 or 4 wheel. A sagging front end will tend to wear the tires on the inside edge(causing negative camber),tire cupping is usually bad shocks where as the tire is accually leaving the road. Keep us informed and goodluck.

sagging front end

Midnight,

My truck is a 4x4. As for the suspension shop, they said they would replace them with another set but there was no guaranties that the new set would not do the same. I did notice my truck bouncing a bit in the front end when traveling at highway speeds, so i guess i could use a new set of shocks. I heard the Ranchos are a good choice. Now that i think about it, the front end sagging would not cause tire cupping. Makes sense now. Iceman talked about 2" front end levelers. Where and how do you get them? Any idea on price? Any info would be very helpful!

I need help fast! My truck looks like it came out of the 70's when people would put air shocks on their cars to jack them up in the back. (not that there's anything wrong with that  )
