Sorry, don't know where to get one. BUT -if you find a source, please let us know. I have a crack in mine and have been thinking of a new one.

Thanks,

I know my local NAPA parts house can get them. You may want to try one. I don't have a 'newer' style grill so I'm not sure if they would say DODGE on it.

3 out of 2 people have trouble w/ fractions...

Hey Paccool!

The cracked front grill is common w/ the later styled grill and it looks to be do to poor design. If you open the hood and look at Dodge's design, they have 'drawn' a straight line for the inner grill edge (cross vehicle) until it gets to the hood latch area. Then, they decided to scallop out a huge radiused hole for latch clearance which creats a "GI-Gungus" STRESS RISER! What was that designer thinking? :(

I have helped my girl & a good buddy purchase nice First Gens over the last year & a half and 2 of the 3 have the same crack. Somehow mine is still lookin' good & it was a farm truck in it's first life... :)

KEENO :D

Hey guys, good news! I found a site that has wholesale prices on body parts for the first gen trucks. Looks like the grill shell runs $120 for either the painted or chrome. I think I am gonna have to order one up, since my grill was in perfect shape until I let my wife drive the truck. She just happened to hit a duck... ?! The grill took a beating, along with my headlight mount.

How did the DUCK come out?:D

. . gotta watch those off-shore replacement parts that are supposedly 'chrome'. I have a replacement tailight assembly, the 'chrome' of which is long gone allowing the yellowish native plastic color to shine thru.

I do have a replacement grille surround, cost about $70 unpainted. So I painted it and now wish it were the real chrome again... . but based on my experience with the 'chrome' product, I am hesitant to purchase.

Are they no longer available from Mopar? I cracked mine about 3 years ago and the body shop got a lo buck replacment. Good thing I showed up that day, this thing looked bad! flaking cheap chrome, no D O D G E, and flimsy. I got them to go get a Mopar OEM piece. Don't settle!
