new hubs

Snuff, I just received 2 hubs from Rock Auto, $202. each. They have another brand also for $228 I think. Hint: before you order from them find their TDR discount something or other in the TDR mag. or have them explain how to get the discount before you give your order. They wouldn't give me a discount without it, some kind of code he said. Couldn't find any Rock Auto anything in the last TDR mag. Didn't quit understand what was up, so anyway TDR members don't always get the discount it seems.

John

Did you use TURBODIESEL102 ? From the last page in the discount thread:
There was a slight mishap in RockAuto.com's database - so the old "TURBODIESEL" code that was supposed to be renewed on 10/29/08 did not go into effect.

The new discount code is: "TURBODIESEL102"

(minus the quotations, of course... )

I just checked the new code and it works fine.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Cheers,

Matt

Maybe Matt can edit the first page of that thread to show the new code.

JHMiller,

You said yo got two hubs at $202 or so a piece, but when I go to rockauto.com and go to the online catalog and work my way through looking at a 2006 3500 and go to axle hub/bearing assy which is part #515089 it shows them at $358. 79 each and that is the only one I see. Where and/or how did you see the choices for your truck?

Thanks,

James

I take the time and trouble to call them on the land-line.

No problems with TDR discounts, pricing, part #s, etc.

Besides, when I order parts, I like to talk to a human. Old school?

JCoffey

Your right, all I find for your truck is for a RWD and that is the price listed. Don't see anything for a 4X4. Wonder if they do not expect replacement so soon on an 06?? Go figure, don't know man... John
