The front leaf springs on my 91 250 4x4 are getting tired. Does anyone have a good source? Is there any advantage in considering anything beyond stock specifications?

I have 0-1 inch lift Skyjacker Softride leafs on the '92. Definite ride improvement and slightly more than stock suspension travel.

Make sure you get the right spring bushings for the bolt size your truck uses no matter what you buy!

I have the Skyjacker 1" lift front leafs. . they quickly sacked out and I made my own stack to bring it back to level out of the skyjacks and a couple of my old springs. they sure did ride better before they went flat. now they are harsh again. I'm gonna try the 2" softrides pretty soon. people seem to have better luck with them.

i welded up some 4" longer rear shackles for my front springs reinforced with a piece of 2" square tubing in the middle of the shacke to gain additional 2" travel over the bump stop. used a 2 degree wedge in the housing perch to restore caster. used grade 8 bolts with locking nuts for the shackles. ride is better and the truck is almost level now.
