How much of an arch are the front leaf springs on the 4x4s supposed to be? Mine are arched up (toward the motor) quite a bit. Is this normal? Im just trying to determine if they are worn out, or if this is just how they are supposed to be.

They came from the factory flat across at best. Our spring packs are noted for being weak. If you see wear spots where the rubber bumpers are hitting the springs a lot. Its time to replace.

ok, thanks for the info. Mine are by no means flat, but i will check for the marks tommorow

Sounds like you may have some aftermarket lift springs or your stockers could have been arched.

I just pulled mine out. They had 8 leaves and were a negitive arch in the truck and had about an inch positive with no load. That motor is heavy! :(
