In my search for a quality, inexpensive lift product for my 2x4, I have found these Daystar polyurethane coil spring spacers.

They are available in 1", 1. 5" and 2"

Go here for more information.

If anyone has tried these or another product that works well with the 2wd, please post.

Doc

If you are looking to raise the front of your truck then look at the 2" spacers from Tuff Country. They are the only steel spacers on the market and www.jackit.com has them really cheap. I know that a lot of people have dealt with them (including myself) and have been very pleased.

Doc, I haven't had any personal experience with them, but I've heard reports of the Poly spacers not holding up under the Cummins. I run 2 1/2" homemade (not my home) aluminum spacers in the front of my 4X4.

Here are some responses I got from my requests for information on the above posted products.

From Daystar

me:

I'm interested in the Daystar 2" coil spring spacer for the front
springs on my 2000 Dodge 2500 2wd with the Cummins engine. I've been warned
by my peers, at the truck club, that the polyurethane spacers won't hold up
to the weight of the Cummins. Can you advise me on that?

Daystar:

"We have never had a problem with the added weight. They even work well with the 4x4 with a Cummins Diesel! They hold up well because we use a harder durometer polyurethane. I install them part time for the Dodge dealership here in town on new trucks"

From Jack-It

me:

Can you tell me if you offer 2" lift steel coil spring spacers for the front of a 2000 3/4 ton Dodge Ram 2 wheel drive, with the Cummins diesel? I see products on your site for the 4x4 but not the 2x4 I've been looking at the Daystar polyurethane spacers, but I've been told by my peers that the polyurethane doesn't hold up to the weight of the Cummins.

Jack-It:

"Unfortunately, we do not have steel coil spring spacers for your truck. We don't recommend spacers for the 2wd because you have an a-arm setup rather than solid axle like the 4wd. You can get some heavy duty aftermarket coil springs that will give you about 1" of lift in the front end. "

So far, I have not been able to find anyone who makes a lift spindle and control arm for the 2x4 2500 Dodge. This would be the best method for lifting our trucks 2" or more.

I have decided that for me, the best way to level the truck is by using the 1" Daystar coil spring spacers on the front of my truck and the Bell Tech 2" rear drop shackle #6590.

This will not make the 2x4 look like a 4x4, but it will level the truck amd make it look better IMO.
