Does anyone know if these will both work on a stock ride height truck? The trac bar has been in for 3 years, I just boutght the cover and was about to rip into it when I noticed it looks like interferance would ruin my evening. :{ :{ :{ :{

Any ideas?

does the track bar hang lower than the old stock one? If so I see what you mean on interferance. I have the stocker and it is close but it is above it. I had to remove the drag link from the right side (drivers) to put the cover on but that was it. after the cover is on, then you reattach the link. If the track bar ount hangs lower than stock, you might have clearance issues, I don't know...

i installed a lindstadt track bar. when i took my old one out, the boot got torn up... .

when i got the new one. it didn't come with a boot.

lindstadt whined about sending me a new boot. i told them if i had known that it didn't come with a new boot, i wouldn't have bought it. they rounded up one and sent it to me. ??

Affirmative on that, although some may luck out if their front springs are riding higher. I found the ball stud sleeve on our clinic manager's '01 (OEM) is 3/4" shorter than the adjustable-loading sleeve on my lindstad. Due to the added length I know I was rapping the edge of the sleeve into the MHT before I quickly removed the cover. MHT and DT were reportedly going to compare patterns and see if the DT trackbar would be a cleaner fit, still awaiting results...

Update:

I compared my Linstadt equiped (by me! :cool: ) bar to a stocker and it is 3/4" like DDH stated. I sent MHT a note regarding the interferance and asked if they were going to change their cover since these after market trac bars are pretty popular (because the stockers are crap!).

This is their response:

We have designed the cover around two different years of stock Dodge 4x4 trucks. On both of those trucks everything had plenty of clearance. There are several different track bars on the market. I'm not sure we can make the kind of changes to our cover that would encompass all the after market kits that are out there. I would be more apt to encourage the drivers to look into the idea of engineering some type of offset bracket that would issue that type of clearance needed for each individual truck.

As for right now I'm going to look into the different one's out there and see if it is at all possible to make the changes necessary to cover all the after market trac bars. Thanks for the heads up.

Jerry @ Mag-Hytec

So, I guess we can look into an offset bracket or wait to see if they make a change.

Does anyone have a source for any kind of a bracket? How about a relocation btacket from a lift kit you're not going to use I could cut up?
