Got it fixed up. When we had the previous hack encounter we made changes to the master server. I had requested that our security expert make those same changes to the slave server. He tried to do it at that time but had a problem with recompiling the kernel and needed to update the operating system in order to make the change. That hadn't been communicated to me and therefore it fell through the cracks. Once I was aware of the problem I downed the site, called him and had him go in to our host facility and make the upgrade on the OS. We just got done reconfiguring everything and all should be ok now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
