Noticed today that my front pinion seal is leaking pretty bad. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and wondering what the best way to replace it would be. Thanks!
Does anyone know the part number for the inner oil seal for the front end pinion seal. The one that is pressed on the drive line splined hub shield. My parts guy can't find it in his book. Thanks!
Probably going to leave the seal on the yoke alone since i can't find a replacement easily. Old one looks to be in good shape.
Also was wondering if anyone knows the preload on the pinion nut. I already marked the shaft and nut so I would have a reference. Thanks for all the help!

WOT thanks for the help again! Ordered the seal. Now just have to wait till it arrives. As I was reading the last post I noticed that you said that you torqued the pinion nut to 150-200 ft lbs. I marked the nut and pinion shaft before disassembly, but was curious if that method worked ok for your assembly. Thanks again!
Yeah, normally i mark everything but my memory slipped that day...
I have about 7K miles on it since then and no funny noises so hopefully all is good.
What is the size of the nut on the front pinion? Also is the cost of the seal and oil below $100? I have a repair thing with the dealer to have it done for $100. also have the steering box leaking.
