Hey y’all.

Looking to replace my front sway bar bushings on my 2006 Ram 3500 4x4 SLT SRW Mega.

I took the truck to O’Reillys to grab replacements, but all they had in stock was rubber. I’m looking to get polyurethane or some other type of thermoplastic so I didn’t get them yet.

There’s 3 or 4 sizes and they all vary by a millimeter. The gentleman behind the counter let me use a digital caliper to get the correct size. I took several measurements and got somewhere between 32 and 33 mm.

My question is, do I order a 32 or 33 mm replacement? Round up or down? I know it’s only a millimeter, but I figured it must matter or they wouldn’t offer multiple sizes.

Thanks

Well, the survey has it! I’ll pick up some regular old rubber ones at Oreillys. Save me some money.

My question, though. If I measured it at 32.3 and 32.6mm, should I buy the 32mm or 33mm bushings?

I’m just now getting around to replacing these.

Went with whatever O’Reillys had. Measured in the parking lot with a digital caliper.

In the drive way now and there’s a gap. Is this correct? They’re obviously tight. No play unlike the originals that were on there, but should there be this gap?

Roughly 3/16”

It's not great but ok as it is on the side of the swaybar, the load goes up and down only.
I don't think you'll have a problem with that, but usually there isnt a gap.
Maybe it's because it's aftermarket stuff.

Word. The other side went on with a smaller gap. Maybe 1/16”.

We’ll see!
Thanks!
