I need some longer links since I lifted my truck higher--these are the short rods that are at each end of the sway bar that connect the axle to the sway bar(don't know exact name)--anyone know where I might get some???--guess I could hack mine and weld in a pc, but I'd rather do that as a last resort---chris

Did your lift kit come with the drop down extensions that lower the bar to handle the lift. Normally that is what you should have. If not you can try energy suspension, they sell a variety of link bushing kits that come with the bolts. You will probably have to find something universal that will work. Good luck.

Chris,

I know I have seen at least one person make some from assorted parts from Home Depot. I will see if I can dig it up.

I know I can extend it myself, but I'm fairly sure I've seen longer ones somewhere--and I'd like these with the better bushings--

mediccummin--yes it did , but when you do what I did then no it didn't--I had the 4. 5" kit on, but I made my own longer arms and bought the 7" springs to lift it up more and I thought I'd be ok with these, but it's not-I'll check energy suspension--thanks--chris

Chris call skyjacker and tell them you want the part number for the exstended sway bar end links and then call 4 wheel parts and buy through them.

Energy suspension and most only go to 4 1/2" but I know skyjacker makes longer ones for the fords (up to 8") why not the Dodge, link below

end links

I have been thinking about making some like These for my rear sway bar after installing the bags

Chris,

I too had the same issue as you until I just junked the sway bar. :D It really didn't drive any different. I looked all over for a set of longer links for my SJ 4. 5" kit and never found any. None even came with the kit and I asked others if they had recieved some, but they did not either.

So, for the meantime before I took the bar off, I made some custom longer ones and threaded each end. Put a type of hiem/link joint on the axle end and just put a nut and washers on the frame end. Worked good, but I wanted more flex and got it from removing it.

J--how's it handle on the freeway at speeds going around corners???

you don't receive longer links with the 4. 5" kit; they give you the bracket that spaces the whole sway bar down--not sure what you get with the 7" kit though--need to call skyjacker and ask--chris
