2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front Trailer Hitch

Thinking of installing the Hidden Hitch front mount trailer hitch. I have the spoiler and if I get stuck and need a pull from the front there isn't anyplace to hook a tow cable without doing damage.

These trucks are so front heavy(and overall heavy) that they do seem to stick pretty easy.

Has anyone done this and how do you like it??? How much trimming to the spoiler is required and what about the license plate holder??

Skipped the Hidden Hitch altogether, wentfor different look.

Decided on a Warn Trans4mer set up. The gives me front end protection if I plow into something and I got a 2" receiver as well.

I put one on my 02. Took about an hour and had to notch the air dam about an inch. I also added extra hooks to it that came out where the stockers would have. I think someone makes a license plate holder to put in it but Im not sure. If had the money I would go for a different bumper with a receiver in it.

I put a picture of my front reciever and extra hooks on my readers rigs. Not a great pic but it wil give you an idea.

I went through the exact same situation, here is what I did, removed air dam, and built my own hitch. I added two new plastic inserts for the top of the plate and used the factory holes for the bottom of the license plate, looks much better than those big plastic boxes from the factory. I also put my TDR insert in the front hitch now, man do I get questions and compliments like what the heck is TDR and why the front hitch..... check out the prior forum below... ... . seeya.
