left front wheel grabbing and jumping at slow speed and sharp angle, does not matter if four wheel drive is engage or not. four wheel drive is working. running cooper discovery atx tires on stock rims. It feel like the automatic hub is not disingaging.

Is there anything that can be done, or can I just ignore this with out problems.

No automatic hubs on these trucks, unless you have an aftermarket locking hub conversion kit. Only have a front axle disconnect. The front axleshaft is turning while you are driving in 2wd, but not the driveshaft to the t-case.

If not the u-joint, the next thing to check would be for a severely warped brake rotor and/or a bad ball joint.

I think you really know the answer to this one . . . but just in case - No don't ignore it. if the wheel is locking or slowing it more than likly sounds like a joint. Lift up front end and spin wheel while someone turns the steering - watch the axel joint. . . .

If you drive by a building, concrete barirer, etc you will probably hear the joint squeaking if that is the problem. I would usually find mine that way before I ever felt something in the steering.
