2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front wheel bearing assembely

I found that the easiest way to get that stubborn front wheel bearing off is to wait for it to shotgun. All you have to do then is take off the 1 11/16 nut and everything just falls to the ground. Those four bolts in the back are so much easier to get to. Just remember to be close to home when the front wheel freezes up so you can drag her into the driveway.

Ha, pretty much what I did. I had her towed in on a rollback. It kind of screwed my rotor up a little bit, but yeah, everything just fell to the ground.

Sounds dangerous. This is why I installed grease fittings in mine. I drove hundreds of thousands of miles running OTR, one end of the country to the other, and the miles before I made this mod had me quite worried about smoking one while far from home and getting stranded.
