Well its about time to replace wheel bearings again and I am hoping that there is a better (and cheaper) source for front wheel bearings. Dealer is around $350 a side and I have had no luck finding other sources. Parts books go up to 1999 which is a different bearing than the 2001/2002. I have also checked out an after market replacement hub assy. but the cost is over $1800. Has anyone rebuilt the wheel bearing hubs or found another source than the dealer?

Thanks

Kyle

NAPA sells one with a lifetime warranty. I put one on my truck about 50k miles ago(that's about 10 months of driving for me). Still going strong.

i got both of mine from the chevy dealer, low to mid 200s each if i remember right (i did go in under my shop's name so i got jobber not sure how far off that is from over the counter, usually 15-20% on euro parts, i don't do that much domestic), the same vintage chevy runs the same hubs as my 96 c&c which are the same as the 4wd hubs, maybe they cross over on the later trucks too

The 1994 to 1999 wheel bearings are different from the 2000/2001/2002. Has anyone found a source other than the dealer for wheel bearings for a 2000/2001/2002 3500 4X4 front wheel bearings?

Front and rear axles changed in 2000 for the 3500 Rams

Thanks

Kyle
