Front windshields - smoked (tinted)??? Replacement

so the 1 inch rock chip is now a 2 foot monstrosity... .



SInce i am going to be replacing the front windshield, i got to thinking... since i have an all black truck wouldn't a slight tint or smoked front windshield be kinda cool?



Has anyone replaced thier front windshield with anything other than the standard clear stuff?

I don't think you can have a tinted windshield... (DOT violation???) The only thing tinted is the top 3 or 4 inches...

i think you are right but a simple VERY light smoke would be nice... i wonder...

I don't think that even the slightest tint is allowed. Liability issues etc... I tried to get my replacement without the top sunshade in it but the glass dude said even that is not available so I think that there may not be many options.
