Frontend replacement bumper trade?

I know this is a long shot, but I thought that I'd at least give it a try. I was wondering if anybody with a Ranch Hand frontend replacement bumper would be willing to trade for a new Ranch Hand that I got Friday. They have made subtle changes to the uprights that I don't care for (just a personal preferance). I picked it up without knowing they had made this change. Nothing at all is wrong with the bumper. Just wondering if someone maybe be interested in making a trade. Of couse, I will also pay for the hassle too. My only other option is too have the uprights cut off and new ones welded on. This is probably what's going to have to be done. Sorry for the long post.

Can you post a picture that shows what you are talking about? I have one of the "older" version of the Ranchhand that I understand has been discontinued. I'm not seeing the Dodge bumper on their website right at the moment so I'm wondering what's different.

Sorry, no pictures. It looks real similar. The uprights are'nt straight up and down any more. The are cut on a radius. This is what I don't like. The wrap around for the headlight has changed from a half-circle to a angle that matches the lines of the headlight. I have no problem with this. The only other change I know of is the use honeycomb shape stamped metal instead of the expanded metal in front of the grille. Everybody that has seen it likes it, and thinks I'm nuts. I'm not nuts, just anal about some things.

Front End Replacement

Hey Brian, I might be able to help you out. I've got a front end replacement on my 97 3500. I would want you to look at it first to make sure it would work for you. I would assume it would fit a 2001. 5. It is in good shape, but it is definantly not bright and shiny brand new looking. Has a few of those Texas size bugs on it. It is the same one that is on the RanchHand main page, on the Dodge. Let me know or PM me and maybe we can get together. I live just south of Bastrop and work in Austin.

Something else to consider here... that front end replacement deal can either be re-powder coated or sprayed with Line-X or an equivalent bedliner material.

Duane, thanks for the thought. I'm not picky on how pretty they are. Shoot, I've seen some real faded ones (grey color) that look good to me. I don't know. Guess I'm just weird.
