Has any one had trouble with the VAC actuated 4wd system in cold weather???

Been reading lots of posts on the system and think maybe I have some frozen water in the vacuum lines, it has been 10-20 F for the last 24 hours.....

Here are the facts so far

-4wd worked fine last night. (went from warmer to colder climate, 3000ft up in elevation)

-All vac connections seem to be intact although I dont have a test guage

-The transfer case engages( front driveshaft does not turn by hand in 4wd. ),

-get low range in 4 lo

-The heater blower works except on defrost: no air coming out of passenger side vents.

- Erratic RPM fluctuations at idle with full blower.

-no 4wd indicator light on dash.

Thanks for suggestions...

The vacuum line goes thru the firewall close to where the heater pipes do on the passenger side. If you don't have moisture frozen in the lines check the line before where it goes through the firewall. It may be melted shut or almost shut from exhaust manifold heat. Make sure you check inside the connector. It can melt in there where you can't see it.
