Looking for real world FS 2500 user info and mileage and oil Analysis statistics . Mileage intervals and oil sampling analysis options. thoughts and opinions on this setup

I have this setup on a 6. 7 cummins with a Auto trans.

I am using Valvoline CJ-4 True Blue 15w40

Also looking for information and anyone who buys these filters in bulk for price savings ?

Waiting for a few more miles to get set up with Amsoil .

Oo.

I have been using mine for about 30,000 miles. I have had great uoa from blackstone. This coming weekend I will be changing the filter in the fs-2500 and adding about 1 1/2 quarts of oil. Then in 5,000 more miles I will send off a sample to blackstone to see how it is with 15,000 miles on oil.

I bought a case of filters from filtration solutions and pre-paid sample containers from Blackstone but I don't remember the pricing.

I am using Shaeffer's supreme 9000 5w-40 synthetic engine oil.

Do you already have it installed?

I would recommended the Amsoil filter over the FS-2500 due to cost and filtration...

Anyways, you will need to do your own UOA to get good examples, as each motor is different based on location, fuel, driving habits, towing, etc...

My research shows the FS filters are less expensive. Am I missing something? I find the Amsoil EaBP-100 for $40. 25, and the FS-2500 filters for $26. 95.

There is another thread similar to this currently in progress here.

That said, as soon as I get my first UOA back I will post the results. I have several UOAs run before I installed the filter so I will have some before and after UOAs to share.

The FS-2500 is a very solid unit. At the advertised prices, I would never have bought the unit myself, but I found a shop out of Texas that sold me the complete kit (minus filters) for less than half of what is usually advertised including shipping (PM me for the price and vendor).

I got the FS-2500, and have to agree that the build quality is good. I feel comfortable mounting it under the truck on the frame rail.

I am using a bypass unit made by harvard corporation. It goes down to 1 micron. I have about 9k on the oil right now and won't be pulling a sample until this fall. How does the FS-2500 kit return the oil back into the engine?

on any of the bypass filters do not change the filter until it no longer flows oil. the dirtier it gets the better it filters. at oil change just remove the filter, drain and re install.
