Stacks or not

I am newbie, I am the proud owner of a 1998 Dodge 3500 dually and am slowly working on upgrading as I can, this truck has the 12v with a 5 speed and 3;54 rear end gears. It also has 250,000 miles on it. I have replaced the transmission and clutch and u-joints. This is a work in progress, have been driving the truck for about a month now, absolutely love it. I have installed a Magnaflow 4" turbo back exhaust system and I will be installing an air intake system, along with a fuel filter relocation kit. I am also thinking about putting in the FS-2500 by-pas oil filter. Any pros or cons? By the way, I had always owned a Chevy or GMC truck prior to this.

I have the FS-2500, and other than the price, there are no drawbacks that I can see. It's a great looking unit, with a clean install. The filter prices are set to go up a bit next year, so if you get one, you might want to lay in a supply. Also, I paid the extra $50 for the stainless steel hoses, and they look really good. One thing to look out for is the position of the oil return hose in the valve cover. I'm not sure if you'll have the same issue in your truck, but on my 3rd gen, the hose comes really close to the oil filler cap, and you have to pay close attention to where you drill the hole, so that you can still take the cap on and off.

Frantz & Amsoil make some competitive systems you may want to take a look at as well.
