I don't have this on my truck, but it seems interesting. I have noticed that they don't advertise in Diesel Power any longer. Anyone know why? I haven't seen any advertisement for this product in quite some time.



If you were going to stick with Valvoline Premium Blue would you go with this product or go with the Amsoil bi-pass. Again... . sticking with dino oil... not synthetic.

I've heard good things from both products. I personally have the FS2500 and have had no problems with it. Only done one oil change with it on the Cummins, but when it was on the 6. 0leaker I would change oil at 7500miles and it still had an amber color to it.



All in all I like the extra filtration of these units which ever one you go with. I'll never extend my intervals just good security for cleaner oil.

I agree with the extended oil intervals... . I wouldn't go that route either. Peace of mind I guess...

Man, I love that car. Torquey little thing and gets MPG's like PIC Here, hand calc confirmed. Were about to cross the 60k mark and it drives like new. Speaking of oil, it only calls for 10k change intervals. Wonder if I put a AmsOil bypass on it if they would claim 65k between changes on it. J/K :-laf

Now that is some mpg's! Nice instrument cluster as well. Easy to read and clear. I used to have a 99 jetta gasser, but traded it in on my truck. The only thing that made me question vw's logic is the auto transmission fluid change. I had three different dealerships say to NOT change the auto fluid. They all stated that this would cause the trans to fail within a short period of time. The manual can be changed as often as needed/desired. If I could find a manual, diesel vw that was well cared for... . maybe another purchase of a vw. Thanks for the reply's.
