When my truck was brought to the first dealer they tested the fuel and fond that it contained additives. This is when they started telling me that I had to pay for a new pump or lose the warranty if had a remanufactured pump installed. The service manager made a huge point of showing me in the manual where it says "fuel additives are not recommended" they where real jerks about the hole deal needless to say they did not sell me my 03 and will never have my business again.

I am sure this happened to you but there is no way they could make that stick. All you had to do is tell them you never put additives in your truck. Every supplier puts additives in their premium diesel. I would like to know what lab they claimed they sent it too? Also the additives that would go into your tank from a diesel fuel additive would not be unusual to find in any premium diesel you can buy in the market place. Example in a 35 gallon tank of fuel you would add 10 ounces of DFA. No way that would show-up, they lied to you. You can't beat a dealer that makes things up and lies, glad to hear you moved on to another dealer. I would not be affraid to use a DFA from fear of a dealer voiding your warranty. If that was the case Dodge would have to inform all owners that they can't use "Premium" diesel in their trucks.
