Practical Solutions High idler

I have been looking for a supplier of Stanadyne here in Lawrence, KS with no luck other than off the internet, which is ok. I talked to the guy at NAPA whom I consider pretty sharp. He says they have sold a lot of Howes and Power Service fuel additives. Anyone knows how they compare to Stanadyne or actually just any info about them at all?? Thanks!!

My advice is to use what is easy to obtain locally as the additives are all about the same. Poll on an over the road trucker's website showed Power Service to be the most widely used additive by far. I personally use Howe's.

I second the Howe's but that's b/c it's what they sell where I fill up. I run the regular Howe's and sometimes run the Meaner Cleaner that they make. Like Illflem said whatever is convenient. I wouldn't go out of my way for one or the other.

I use (surprise) Redline Diesel Fuel Catalyst. I add it more to protect the pump than anything else. I figure the extra lubricity would make break-in a little easier on my pump
