Finally got my truck

Difference between Wastegated and Non-wastegated

I'm having a problem with starting In the mornings or after the truck has been sittIng for 6 or more hours.

The truck is a 98 24 valve 1 ton.

Recently I had the head gasket replaced under warranty and ever since then the problem began. Since then I 've had the transfer pump replaced, all the gaskets on the banjo fittIngs as well as the check valve on the injection pump. The dealer gave up and I still have the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dwight

We were just discussing the siphon effect on another thread. Do you see the problem more so when the tank is low, below 1/2 or less ? Check out this thread...

Hi Scott, It doesn't make any difference if the tank is full or otherwise. The funny thing is that when I park the truck facing down hill, it starts normal. I forgot to mention that when the dealer changed the overflow valve (check valve] on the injector pump the truck started good for 5 days.
