02 Fuel pressure gauge connection

How much fuel will I lose after attaching a mechanical fuel gauge on the bottom of the fuel filter housing on an 02? Where would be the best place to bleed the system, I am guessing at the banjo bolt fitting on the bottom of the filter. Also just turning on the ignition switch will that power the lift pump to do this?
