fuel capacity

the fuel guage on my truck did not work when I bought it and it did not come with the original owners manual, what is the fuel capacity on a 95 3500 2wd. auto. I usually go about 450 miles then fill it up and it takes around 26 gallons, has me wondering how close to empty I really am? thanks... ... ... ... ...
