Has anyone had multiple failures of fuel control actuators? Had one replaced at 79,400 miles in my 2006 (stock except for Carli starter kit and CFE air horn), and it failed approximately 100 miles later. Dealer replaced both actuator and fuel pressure solenoid and relay. Dealer had other customers with similar problem.

You may be right, got the truck back today from dealer, drove it two miles and check engine light came on again. Stumbling off idle, white smoke, totally un-drivable. I can't believe its multiple FCA failures.

I put 230k miles on an '06 very quickly while transporting RVs. I replaced one FCA somewhere around 100k+ miles. The FCA cured the problem immediatly and the problem didn't return.

Where do you buy fuel?

I had a FCA code trip along with rail pressure outside of limits on my '05 at 40K. Dealer found crank position sensor bad. No problems since.

I think Sag2 was correct about contamination. I drained fuel canister and cleaned it, replaced filter and truck seems to run like new. Still have check engine light on and nothing to read or clear codes, so will take it back to dealer. Thanks for all the help.

Further followup on fuel actuator problem. It was fuel contamination, need to drain tank and flush, replace FCA again (on my nickel this time). Obviously must have been a bad load of diesel. All this from a large, branded, gasoline station. Will stick to truck stops from now on.
