This past November we got a breath of fresh air so to speak here in the Grand Ronde Valley of Northeast Oregon.

Safeway opened a Superstore with a service station and that sure put a crimp in the price of fuel the two local distributors were charging.

We were always paying the highest price in the country.

Yesterday I filled up at Safeway for $1. 11. 9 per gal. :D Pump price was $1. 20. 9 but with your club card which saves . 03 per gal every day and the special pricing brought is down to the

$1. 11. 9.

Wish I would have had all my 5 gal cans along. ;)

Yep, and sometimes we run "stealth" promotions over the weekend, where you can save an additional 6¢ or 9¢ off the posted street price! I've been bugging the Fuel Manager for my division of Safeway to carry diesel, because none of them do currently (Seattle Area. )

Today, the Fuel Manager asked me what brand of oil to offer, if and when we add diesel to the Seattle area fuel stations. I said, "Delo 400, of course!" :D
