Well these recent posts about installing a #10 plate have me thinking. I can read the chart. For my 97 auto a #8 is the 230 plate, a #6 is 250, #5 270, etc.
But what about the fuel curves. These things have completely different shapes. I would like to here about these ( read all not just the ones I mentioned ) plates in terms of power band or usage, instead of just peak HP.
Just making this up, but a #10 gives great bottom end and midrange, but cuts back at the top end. Best used as a stand-alone BOMB for towing on manual trucks. -- A #6 has less bottom and, with good midrange and great top end. Good choice with 370 injectors to help control bottom end smoke, bla bla bla... ... again just made that up as an example of what I was thinking.
Thanks,
