A week ago my Jacobs brake started working only intermittently. Before I could fix it I had to go to Seattle. On the trip at about 65 MPH in 22 degree temp the fuel stopped just like you cut the throttle cable. Idled fine, started fine just no throttle response. The check engine lite did come on. After about 15 minutes, while I was trying to get a tow service, it started working fine again. Next day check engine lite went out. Now works fine and brake works fine also.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Will go to Dodge this week and have codes read. Can't get anything done during holidays.

Cycle your key on & off 3 times (without cranking) & leave key in the on positiion. Your odometer will display any codes. Sounds like either the APPS or perhaps your VP44 may be going South... .

Keep us posted & good luck.

Update

Codes from key read P1693 and P0121. .

Went to shop and had scan tool read all codes. Tool read only P0121 which had cleared. Showed 50+ sucessful starts and runs. They thin bk it might be a electric glitch or prehaps water in a connection.

Suggested pulling the ECU cable and using cummins spray on it. Cleared codes and said to wait and see. ( I hate that) Can't explaine why the Jacobs brake didn't get the current from the ECU all the time. Maybe a lose connection?

Thanks for the responses, any further will be appreciated.
