My truck totally stock. Started out at 14. 2 MPG and now getting 17. 6 (calculated). Overhead says 17. 9. I have 1800 miles on the truck, so hopefully it will get better. My old 2001 got 21 MPG regularly, but it was geared higher so I expected some of that. I'll take the MPG hit for such an improved truck!!
With our new truck (8500 miles) the last tank was calculated at 17. 9 mpg. Computer said 19. 7. This is the first tank with the EZ and I was not too easy on Her. Before the EZ we saw 15. 8 consistantly, calculated by hand... ...
My truck is getting 14. 6 mpg. That's the best tank so far! I'm not complaining since my old gas burner only got 9-11 mpg. I was wondering about what rpm is it best to shift at to maximaize mpg?
I just filled mine yesterday, and I had gone 427. 1 miles and took on 21. 1 gallons. Figures 20. 24 MPG! Longest trip on the tank was 96 miles, all other miles were to and from local. BTW, trip meter (computer) said 20. 3 MPG.
3. 73 gears, first tank 15. 4mpg, over head computer=18. second tank pulling 13. 8mpg, hope it gets better, Diesel @ $1. 74 will have to start walking.
I have had this truck for 2 weeks now. Traded in a '02 1500 4. 7 Liter V-8. On that truck I was averaging about 12. 5 mpg with city/stop and go driving and roughly 15. 9 mpg on the freeway. When towing a trailer it got no better than 8 mpg on the freeway, which was the single biggest reason to buy this truck. After a couple of fill-ups I am now averaging 16. 9 mpg driving around town and 19. 6 on the freeway. Haven't had a chance to check the mileage with our trailer (7100 pounds wet) but that will happen during Spring Break the second week of April with a pull over the coast range. Should be interesting to check the difference.
