Fuel Filer Change ’91. 0



I reviewed a few threads here that discuss tips when changing the fuel filter. Are there any special tips on a first generation? Specifically, can you “bump” the engine to fill the filter? or should I prefill the filter? Any other tips would be appreciated. It sounds like there are published instructions in issue 45 if someone can cut/paste this info (it’s my first week)

I just drain the old filter via the water trap vavle on the bottom before removing... I fill the new filter about 3/4 full with fuel and that seems to work fine... fairly easy...

Just get the water in fuel/valve with seal back in right, fill it like said and there you go. May need a oil filter wrench to get the old one off, just use your hand to tighten the new one or just a quarter turn with the wrench when putting it on, should be good. 1st Gens are the easiest to do.
