I have a 2014 2500 Lone Star crew cab with less than 3K miles on it. When filling the tank, fuel leaks down inside the fender and onto the ground. The fuel filler pipe has the normal metal vent line, and it also has a flexible line that looks like it connects to a collar that is supposed to be attached at the top of the filler. That collar is loose and slides up and down the pipe. Ever time I fill up, when the tank burps, fuel runs down the inside of the fender. The truck has a strong diesel smell on the drivers side. Has anyone seen this before? I want to be armed with a few facts before I take it back to the dealer.

I learned that if you stop at the first nozzle auto shut off it does not leak. My old habit of CLICK,CLICK, CLICK leads to overflow.

Same here it will only leak if you try to squeeze in a few more drops of fuel. Fill it slow and don't top off when you hear it getting full.

Like the others have stated, if I try to top off that will happen, just fill until it clicks off and if at all just one more click off and stop filling. Seems to be worse if filling at the big truck pumps, you have to stop at the first click.
