Was filling up with fuel yesterday and stopped by the truck island to use their pumps. You can not get the pump nozzel completely in the filler neck because of a tube (vent I guess?) about a inch down. You can still fill tank, just have to hold the handle. Now what was DC thinking??? "hey we'll make the filler neck big enough so they can use the large handles, but let's make them hold it. "

On a good note though, 17mpg with 2000 miles on it. :D

That vent tube doesn't interfere when I use the big nozzles. Mine is almost flush with the inside of the filler neck. Time for a little adjustment, perhaps?

When fueling my '96 CTD at the big truck island, I would chuckle at the Ford PSD guys having to use the sissy pumps!... With the 2003, I need to wiggle the nozzle, but can still get it in. Kind of takes the grin off my face though!!!

Haven't tryed the big nozzles yet. You can thank our great DC nerd engineers for making it a little harder to get the big one in. What will they think of next. I am almost afraid to ask that.
