. . changing my oil last night and and also the fuel filter. Got to thinking about the spare fuel filter behind the seat that most of us carry.
In the case of emergency use, what will you guys do? Slap it on and bleed a filter's worth of air manually or do you carry just a little extra fuel somewhere to prime the filter? Or?
me... I have always dreaded manually bleeding the lines...

Bleeding is no big deal on mine. The bleeder screw just above the filter allows us to manually pump with the lift pump and have it primed in about 30 Seconds. No problem really. Better than handling a wet filter and trying the thread it on.
Maybe I missed the point #ad

I do about the same as Lil Dog except for how I fill the filter. What I've been doing is to screw on the water sensor and then screw on the filter but leave it loose. Use the lever to fill the filter and then screw it on down and hook up the sensor. Works good for me with no problems. Don't need to worry about keeping fuel fresh in a can that way.
