hi guy's, is their an adapter kit to install a fuel filter canister from an 01 to a 99 ctd ?i dont need to change out the fuel lines ( i have the garden hose lp re-location done)i just need the adapter for the WIF sensor and the fuel heater. i have access to a newer canister(for easier fuel filter change out) and it looks like it will bolt right up, but the wiring will not work. as always, thanks

I have both canisters sitting on my work bench. The WIF will (should from looking at it) plug right in as they are typical for many Fleetguard filters. Plus you have the harness length to reach it.

The fuel heater is another story. I've asked and searched the internet over including Dodge, Cummins, Fleetguard and specialty wire harness companies and cannot find the plug I need to go onto the filter receptacle for the heater. Hooking into the 99 harness end is no trouble as you can use blade type connectors there. I just need someone to snip their unused harness lead off their 2000 up truck :).

That and you'll need some extra wire length as the 99 heater lead comes no where close to the front of the 00 canister. I'd say 12" minimum is needed so they are not pulled tight. Other than that its a direct bolt up. Good thing your using other fuel hoses as you'd also need the stuff between the lift pump & canister as well as between the VP & canister. I happen to also have that stuff laying around the garage.

99 to 01
