I just changed the fuel filter on my '04 for the first time. I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't read in the TDR how easy it was. In summary:
Tooks 15 minutes total with the truck nosed into the garage (that's all that fits).
Bought my filters at Geno's - $28. 85 for two and that included shipping. Two local dealers wanted $38 and $44 for one!
I have 13K on the truck (I intended to change at 10K, but... ) The filter came out black!
As easy as it was to do, I'll probably change at 7,500 miles.
Thanks again, all for your previous posts. No way I'll ever pay $75 to have the dealer do it. Thanks also to DC for making it easy to do! If you haven't done this, don't worry, and give it a try.
