Hello, I'm a new TDR member and have a 02' 2500 4x4. Can anyone give advice proper procedure to change the fuel filter and avoid any problems like allowing air to enter the system, etc. Thanks, Tony

abranz,

Nice to have you as a member :D

Fuel filter replacement is a snap on your CTD.

I drain about a pint of fuel before removing the filter cap and clean inside the canister with a lint free cloth. I then fill the canister about 2/3 full with clean diesel fuel and slide the new filter in nice and easy (Don't forget to replace that o-ring). Torque to the proper spec, bump the starter once and you should be good-to-go :D
