WTF is this none since. getting a flash on my dash saying I need to chance my fuel filter. My last truck was a 2001. sometimes I wash I kept it. I don't like being forced to freaking change my fuel filter from a computer. What happens if I ignore it and what's the procedure for doing this. Someone told me this thing has 2 filters??? Christ!

Just the same as the oil change indicator vehicles have had for over 20 years. It's a reminder that your service is due. Ignore it if you wish, its your truck and your rules. Just the same as putting off your oil changes proceed at your own risk. Maintenance is cheap compared to R&R.

First I would consider reading your post before hitting "Post Reply".

Ignore it if you like, have a fuel related issue they will simply deny warranty based on not doing as you are TOLD.

OH also I hear they have great "GENERIC" filter deals on AMAZON. Why the HE!! pay MOPAR, FleetGuard or RACOR high prices.

Tough crowd man... All I'm saying is I don't like a light coming on my dash telling me to change the fuel filter or my oil or my blinker fluid :D. Geeez. This is my 3 Ram Truck. I know when it's time.

Masking tape is your friend. Cover it up. also another annoying light CEL, same thang, cover it up. One more to ignore... low DEF notice. They're all PITA.:p:D

Darned compooters:mad:

Cheers, Ron

Anything look off?

I do proof read before posting so others understand what I am saying.

Sorry your post came across as a lot of *****ing.

Hey Cliff,

I had to sleep on my answer. I had to dial in my smart a$$ meter to get the right effect. Don't want to poke the bear too hard:eek:, but also no way to just let it go. :D

Cheers. Ron

Yep, it has one filter located directly above the driveshaft that gets you wet with diesel when you change it and one under the hood under a plastic cap that won't come loose. Those are the usual complaints anyway. I've not had any problem other than some diesel running down my arm from the rear filter.
Oh, and you'll love the oil filter if you haven't done that yet.

1/4" poly tubing slipped on the drain of the rear filter works wonders. Open it a bit then bust loose the filter and let it drain. Close the drain then remove the filter. Simple!
