Me and GMaines think along the same lines... I buy all my filters from Geno's now, unless I'm in a bind for time, then I go to the dealer back home (NOT the one here in AZ... they are theifs on parts!). In Oregon my oil filters are only $14, down here it's $25+tax! Bought a fuel filter here in AZ once too... . ONCE! $52 after tax... can you friggin believe that?!?!?!!!! I was in a bind though, and had no choice but to pay the piper.

Denis bought a case of fuel filters from a guy a while back, an offbrand, and has had nothing but trouble with them clogging up and giving him crappy fuel pressure. Think I'll talk him into splitting a case of good fleetgaurds from Geno's the next time I order.

Our faithful 5. 9 Cummins is also used on farm, industrial and construction equipment. Check some of those dealers out.

I buy my Cummins Stratapore LF 3894 oil filters from our local Case tractor dealer for $7. 92 each (summer ‘03 price) the fuel filters are much cheaper also.

BTW last winter I purchased a “new, in the Cummins box” LP for $133. 15 from our local Kenworth repair shop.

I get the same prices as richardocoxid does up here in RI at the local cummins shop (it's a ford dealership with a completely seperate parts department for "big" trucks - they always laugh at my tinny dodge). They can get anything for the engine - all they need is the engine serial number and if they don't have the part in stock, they order it direct from Cummins - great prices! They don't deal with with ISB 5. 9 too often, so they always ask for the engine serial number. BTW, I paid $131 for a lift pump, and it included the wiring harness.

Cummins shop I pay $11. ??. I looked at the Dodge dealer and they wanted right at $45 for fuel filter. I change my fuel filter but I asked the dealer what they charged to change one and they told me $99.  I about fell in the floor.

Eric

Just purchased the fuel filters from my local International dealer for $9 ea. Retail at $19. They stock all the Fleetguard filters. I used to get my oil filters there, but now I get free oil changes from Frahm Dodge. (Norco, Ca. ):D

When I was at the dealer I said give me a fuel filter and some other stuff. When I looked at the bill I was trying remember if I was holding my ankles when he GAVE IT TO ME. 44 bucks

Geno's is fair

At Cummins you can join the Cummins owners club and get 10% more off their already good prices. Club called the "Road?????" club. Just basically an extra 10% off products.
