I saw at Geno's a replacement fuel filter cap that will allow you to install a fuel pressure gauge (similar to what the '99's already have). Is this a good idea for adding a fuel pressure gauge? If not, what is the best way?

Thanks

Ron

Your sig says that you have a 99. You should have plugs on top of the current canister. One pre filter - Guage goes there, the other post filter. Difference in pressure shows filter condition.

Yea, mine is a '99 and I'm using the taps on the fuel filter canister for my gauge. My buddies is a 2001. 5 and nearing the end warranty. I said I'd help put a fuel gauge in the truck. Just trying to find the easiest way.

Thanks

Ron

Why not post filter

If the idea is to make sure that the IP is receiving enough fuel wouldn't it be more to your advantage to use the schrader valve that is on the feed line to the IP?

This would do two things correct, monitor the LP and filtration.
