My buddies wife is stranded in between Cresson and Benbrook Texas. I dont remember if she has an 04ho or an 04. 5 but she has the fuel filter mounted lift pump. She just got towed to the dealer in Granbury and they said it was $900+ dollars. I know she should have had it replaced with a glacier or fass but they are at the mercy of the dealersjip as they are driving to Aspen on saturday. She has 95,000 miles... is that a covered item for the cummins warr. ? If not does anybody know of (or own) a shop that has a fass or glacier in stock that is close to west Fort Worth/Granbury area where she could get installed tommarow? Thanks for any/all help guys!

She shouldn't have a warranty problem if it's under 5 yrs/100k miles. They might try to ask for proof of fuel filter changes, etc, but din't put up with that. They should still be liable if the problem is what you describe. It's too bad they have to put a new one in just to get her going. A FASS pump in its place would be key!

By the way, are you (or she) sure it's the pump?

As icman95 stated it should be under warranty. If they are replacing the fuel pump that should be located near or on the engine they will put the new fuel pump in the tank. Going with the Fass or other aftermarket high flow fuel pump would be better.
