Saw a price today that made me see how good some of the prices we get are. I was in the local discount auto store to get some brake cleaner and checked filter prices just for the heck of it. Fram fuel filter for my 93, $17. 95! #ad

Geno's has the fleetguard for around $8. 00 and even with freight is a much better deal.

Autozone also has them for $10. 00. and you won't have to pay another $8. 00 for shipping and handling charges.

paccool,
The Autozone filters are Fram. Whats the difference anyway? I also run Fram oil filters - only $3. 95 at Wally World. Never had a problem with either one.
Hey Brandon,
Hope you don't have a 5-speed, because if you don't want to run any stink'in foreign parts, you better yank your clutch and transmission. They are both made in Germany. I think your Bosch injector pump is Nazi also.

Easy DJP,

I was just wondering if they were one or the other. I really don't know if there is a difference. I have ran Fram but mostly Wix and if you look at some of the posts, there are negative comments as well as positive ones. I have not used a fleetguard yet but have Fleetguard oil filters that I will use the next filter change. Unfortunately, the ony way to tell if a filter is doing its job or not is to wait for trouble to rear its ugly head or have oil analysis done regularly. I have not done oil analysis, just try to change regulary. I statrted using synthetic last year and am extending the changes to about 12K so will start doing samples to make sure I'm not screwing up.
