I need to change the filter on my ride... the one on the truck looks like an oil filter, but the pic they show on Geno's website looks like just the guts... what's up?

It sounds to me like you were looking at the '98 and up fuel filter. The trucks made after '98 have a drop in canister filter while ours have spin on filters that look similar to an oil filter.

That is different than what goes in mine. . I know I got that filter the first time and had to my old back on to go get the right one... . I will try and get the part number off my old box tonight. . Marc

yup... I'm an idiot... I'm not sure what I thought I saw before, could've sworn it was a white fleetguard filter... damn, some days you're the windshield, and some days you're the bug

Must be mine was changed by someone before I got it, because mine uses the one like the 2000 on model uses. . Anyway, mine is getting changed to dual Racor setup this weekend while we change other things out... . Marc

97 fuel filter

While we are on the subject of fuel filters, Do any of you have cross reference # for the 97 cartridge style fuel filter with a racor number. I usually use fleetguard but would like to try racor. thanks as always. :)
