I just spent half the day changing the fuel filter on my 07. 5 6. 7. . Needless to say an experience. . I changed the filter and plugged everything back in however there was a constant drip from the bottom of the new Mopar Filter I just paid 17. 50 for at the dealer. (I am now going to get from Genos(10. 00)) I tried loosening and resealing to no avail. . Had to use the drain plug form the old filter. . Has anyone else exprienced this?

As a matter of fact..... yes.

When I changed my fuel filter for the very first time, last November, I experienced a serious leak. I made very sure the fuel filter was not cross*threaded; I drained some fuel out, loosened it all the way, re-installed it, and still experienced a leak.

In a nutshell, I ended up "robbing" the drain plug from the used fuel filter and put it on the new one... ... ... ... . leak fixed. An inspection of the two drain plugs showed no differences. I called the dealership where I purchased the filter from to express my dismay; he told me they had no similar experiences in their shop (Freedom Dodge in Lexington, KY).

I was about to flip out as I was leaving in a few short hours for an anniversary trip to Gatlinburg, TN for the weekend.

Must be a Kentucky thing as my dealer I purchased the filter from was South 75 Dodge in Crittenden. . Thanks for the input.
