Fuel Filter

Is anyone making a fuel filter for the '03 yet? Is it the same as the '02? I went by Checker last night to get a filter and they have no listing for '03's. Of course, he said that I should not need one that soon on a '03.

Check out Genos. I believe from 2000-03 are the same.



I always have changed them at 10000 but I got close to 12 on this one so I will change it at 15000 and then get back on by 10000 routine. Just the way I do it.

Looking at the listing

in the last TDR mag, the fuels are the samwe and the oils will interchange but the older ones dont have the "flutes" on the bottom. Wondering if they can be gotten off if used (is there enuff room to get at one w/o the flutes)?

I got an '02 from Napa and installed it last night. Boy, that old filter was dirty!

When I changed the oil I took the filter off from the engine compartment. I just took the intake off the turbo and used my band-type filter wrench. Would have been easier from the bottom if I had a real filter wrench.

If you order a case of filters from Genos they will throw in a filter wrench Now I have two of them. I already had one that would fit the filter. Haven't try-ed the one from Genos it's still in the box with the filters.
