Amazon is probably as good a price as any, then replace yourself. I like Athens Dodge Chrysler Jeep as the vendor on Amazon. You can you tube to see how to do it, if that is what you are asking.

Very simple to do, couple pieces of tubing 1/2 & 3/8, 28MM socket with an extension and universal, strap wrench and a wrench to remove the water in fuel sensor on rear filter. I do the priming sequence three times when finished just to make sure before starting.

You could buy some cheap Chinese knockoffs and let us know if you make out any better than the last umpteen Internet posters who’ve ruined their fuel systems by using them. Or you could do as 2014 says and get the best deal you can find on genuine Mopar or Fleetguard filters and save $$$ thousands in the long run.

Those filters are just not something to skimp on .

get the filters from genos garage. they usually come in 2 days. and your assured they are not counterfeit chinese knock offs you might find on amazon ( some sellers ) changing them is as simple as an oil change, in my opinion. wear a throw away shirt for the one under the truck. cheers!

Another place aside from Athens that at least at times has decent prices is Diesel filters online
https://www.dieselfiltersonline.com...am-6-7-liter-cummins-diesel-fuel-filters.html
looks like mopar 97$ and mopar and racor (for the spin on) $92 iirc Racor is the one who makes the mopar spin on filter. As much as it chaps my rear to spend $100 on a set of filters I am unwilling to buy the el cheapo knockoffs for half the price. I guess I had gotten used to paying $10-12 for the filter in my 01.

Does anybody know of a way to replace the two very expensive fuel filters on a 2018 ram?

What, specifically, is perplexing to you about replacing the filters? It is fairly simple but there are a few useful tips you could find on Youtube or this forum, plus the engine mounted filter comes with instructions.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but the way you framed your question, it sounds like the process appears very difficult to you.

I agree!

If it looks that daunting I highly recommending bending over and see the Dealer.

I sorry I just don't understand this reasoning! Anyone who will spend between $45,000 and $70,000 dollars for a vehicle. Then will go skimp on the maintenance for that vehicle, I have a hard time understanding them.

I know I do not have a 4th gen truck but I have done the maintenance on my vehicle as required, I do have the 6.7L Cummins. My maintenance cost for my truck is $0.12/mile which is not much more than my old gas truck was.

It sounds to me like he's merely venting about the cost of the filters....but is perplexed at the process of changing them.

All I can say about the OP’s post is read your post BEFORE hitting submit. Ask your self am I making it CLEAR what I am trying to say???

I read the original post as he's wanting to remove them and use aftermarket set up that has cheaper filters??

I assume there are knock off's ,but there are a couple vendors on there, as said Athens is one, and the price is as good as any. No worries with Athens. I agree with Genos, but its my pocket book ,and I don't like the shipping costs if I can avoid it.

comrade! i dislike shipping cost too. however, keeping the purchase " in the family " ( genos ) is one preference i have. the other preference i have is using quality filters on my truck - keeping in mind i paid 50 k for it, and 2 or 5 bucks here or there wont keep me awake at night. idiots smoking weed and driving ( i live in colorado ) and or texting, smoking weed, and driving does keep me up at night.. :0 cheers comrade! happy friday
